Why aren’t Russia and Nigeria competing?
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier in 2022, the country was kicked out of the tournament and replaced by Puerto Rico in Group A.
In Nigeria, they were withdrawn in June due to government interference. Mali has stepped in for them.
